A team of 12 students from grades 7 and 8 attended a half-day Siruthuli awareness program on 8/11/2024. They explored topics such as the importance of seed germination, Coimbatore’s water sources, and climate changes over time. Sessions highlighted energy conservation, alternative energy sources, sapling donations for birthdays, and effective waste segregation and reduction. Students also visited Maadivanam, a terrace garden with 96 plant varieties, observed rainwater harvesting, and explored the city’s Miyawaki forest. This program offered valuable, hands-on insights into environmental care and conservation.
