Children of grade 5 visited the Butterfly Park in Vellalore on 25th September. The resource person elaborated the children with the significance of water ecosystems and the life cycle of butterflies. The visit enhanced their understanding of local biodiversity , origin of the Noyyal river , the lakes in city and conservation efforts. Importance of maintaining lakes in the city and rainwater harvesting was clearly explained.The main attractions were different butterflies , Noyyal river and a dense forest adjacent to the park. The visit to the Butterfly Park provided the children with valuable insights not only about the city but also a day with natural environment.
